“Our mission as The West Durham Circuit through our worship and nurture is to grow disciples by resourcing, affirming, encouraging, supporting and helping God’s people, to walk in the way of Jesus and share the love of God in our communities".

The West Durham Methodist Circuit is situated in the west of County Durham, a traditional Methodist heartland in the North East of England. Geographically, it covers a 'banana shaped' area approximately 40 miles across with Crook at the centre and was formed in 2006 from the amalgamation of three former Circuits, Crook & Willington Circuit, Spennymoor & Ferryhill Circuit and Weardale Circuit

It extends from Ireshopeburn (A689), towards the top of Weardale, an area of outstanding natural beauty, in the west, down through Stanhope & Wolsingham, Crook & Willington, Spennymoor & Ferryhill to the historic town of Sedgefield, to the east of the A1 (M) Junction 60.

Wherever you find yourself in the Circuit you are sure to find a warm welcome.
